Softball Game Preview: Christoval Cougars vs. Colorado Wolves

The Christoval Cougars will challenge the Colorado Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Christoval will be strutting in after a victory while Colorado will be coming in after a defeat.

Christoval's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Eldorado. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Colorado unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenwood.

Bryanna Munoz was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Wooddell, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Christoval is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Colorado, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

Christoval suffered a grim 18-0 defeat to Colorado when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
