Game recap: Okemah High School Football Team defeats Prague

PRAGUE, Okla. - Tack Murray ran for three touchdowns and Derek Garcia added two as well as Okemah (Okla.) bested Prague (Okla.) 48-28 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on an Andrew Banta touchdown pass to Randall Locust in the second quarter, the Panthers were up 20-14 at the half.

By the end of the third, Okemah found itself trailing by 11 points as the Red Devils captured the lead thanks to two scores in the quarter. Prague scored on a touchdown and a rushing touchdown in the quarter.

The victory was a completely different match up compared to last season's game between these two teams, which PHS took, 35-14.



The victory was a step in the right direction for OHS, which was coming off a 45-13 defeat at the hands of Sequoyah in its previous game.

Prague (0-2) goes up against Stroud in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Okemah (1-1) locks horns with Morris also in a non-conference game.
