Riverview was the 4-3 winner over Churchill when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 11-10 on Saturday. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Alexis Ferrara was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Ella Vinco, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Riverview's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6-1. As for Churchill, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
