Football Recap: Cimarron-Memorial Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Cimarron-Memorial's offense. They were outmatched by the Chaparral Cowboys and fell 28-0. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly 28 points.

Chaparral had a senior duo take command as Sybol Hardinger threw for 174 yards and three touchdowns and Asia Washington rushed for 92 yards on only ten carries. Those three passing touchdowns gave Hardinger a new career-high.

Cimarron-Memorial has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Chaparral, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cimarron-Memorial has already played their next contest (against Foothill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Chaparral will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Coronado at 4:30 p.m. Both have allowed few points on average, (Coronado: 11.1, Chaparral: 13.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
