Volleyball Recap: Ransom Everglades Comes Up Short

Ransom Everglades lost against Central back in September of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Raiders fell just short of the Cobras by a score of 2-1.

Despite the loss, Ransom Everglades saw an underclassman step up: freshman Nalah Picchetti had seven digs, five kills, and one block. Picchetti is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Abigail Zichella, who had five kills, four digs, two aces, and one block.

Ransom Everglades has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Central, the win snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 7-9 record.

Ransom Everglades has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Cardinal Newman on the 27th. As for Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Boca Raton on the 27th.
