Basketball Recap: Bruce Comes Up Short

Bruce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost to the Eupora Eagles at home by a 41-26 margin. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Bruce's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Eupora, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.

Bruce will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Houlka at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2026. As for Eupora, they will be home for the holidays to greet Winona at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
