Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Jay County

Jay County took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Heritage, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Jay County came out on top in a nail-biter against Heritage on Thursday, sneaking past 11-10. The win was nothing new for Jay County as they're now sitting on three straight.

Joesph Geesaman was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Jay County is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Leighton Brown, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Jay County's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Heritage, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-5 record this season.

Jay County will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Winchester Community at 5:00 p.m. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Falcons have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Heritage, they will venture away from home to face off against Manchester at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
