Basketball Recap: Josh Hutchinson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Oswego over Uniontown

Oswego was the 53-48 winner over Uniontown when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Oswego Indians fell 54-46 to the Uniontown Eagles on Friday.

Oswego's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Hutchinson, who posted 18 points along with five boards and three steals. With that strong performance, Hutchinson is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Jackson, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 12 points.

Oswego's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Uniontown, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7.

Coming up, Oswego will be playing in front of their home fans against Chetopa at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Oswego is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season. As for Uniontown, they will venture away from home to face off against Marmaton Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
