Basketball Recap: Neenah Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Neenah waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They rang in the new year with a 51-44 win over the Oshkosh North Spartans. Given the Rockets' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Spartans are ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Neenah pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Oshkosh North, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Neenah will head out to square off against Appleton West at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. As for Oshkosh North, they will welcome Kimberly at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
