Niles Notre Dame had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers by a score of 2-0. For the Dons, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Hilltoppers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

While Niles Notre Dame won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-19.

Niles Notre Dame pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Joliet Catholic, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-10.

Looking ahead, Niles Notre Dame will challenge Taft at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Joliet Catholic, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lane Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
