Basketball Recap: Oceanside Collegiate Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Oceanside Collegiate Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 53-41 win over the Battery Creek Dolphins. This was a revenge game for the Landsharks: when they faced off against the Dolphins on January 9th, they had to take a 71-58 loss.

Despite the loss, Battery Creek still got an impressive performance from Ethan Cox, who went 5-for-7 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds. Cox is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ty'Juan Simmons, who posted nine points and three steals.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Battery Creek, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.

Coincidentally, Oceanside Collegiate Academy and Battery Creek will both be playing Orangeburg-Wilkinson the next time they take the court. The Dolphins will host the Bruins at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Landsharks will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
