Basketball Game Preview: Rustburg Red Devils vs. Glass Hilltoppers

Rustburg is 0-10 against Glass since December of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rustburg Red Devils just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Glass Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. Rustburg has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

On Monday, Rustburg made easy work of Heritage and carried off a 42-22 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Red Devils have posted against the Pioneers since December 9, 2021.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rustburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Tyree, who posted 12 points. Haven Grinstead was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Glass posted their closest win since January 23, 2024 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Jefferson Forest, sneaking past 52-50. The victory was familiar territory for the Hilltoppers, who have now won three games in a row.

Rustburg now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Glass, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.

Rustburg might still be hurting after the 51-28 defeat they got from Glass in their previous meeting back in January. Can Rustburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
