Basketball Recap: Spring Valley Falls Short of New Rochelle in the Playoffs

Spring Valley and New Rochelle squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Spring Valley had to settle for second. They took a 69-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Rochelle Huguenots. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Huguenots are ranked 46th).

Spring Valley's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7. As for New Rochelle, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Spring Valley nor New Rochelle have any future games scheduled.
