Baseball Recap: Renaissance Comes Up Short

Renaissance lost to Norrix on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Phoenix came up short against the Knights, falling 11-1. The Phoenix have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Renaissance saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Williams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Renaissance's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Norrix, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Renaissance will welcome King at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Norrix, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Zeeland East at 4:00 p.m. The Chix's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
