He was the top-rated tight end coming out of high school at Autauga Academy (Prattville, Ala.) and now O.J. Howard is the top-ranked tight end heading into this week's NFL Draft.

The fluid 6-foot-6, 251-pounder out of the University of Alabama is projected as high as the 12th pick, according to a panel of NFL insiders from CBSSports.

Howard was the 19th top prospect overall at any position in the 2013 recruiting class. He helped the Generals to a 10-2 record his senior season, starring on both sides of the ball.

In four seasons for the Crimson Tide – 36 starts – Howard had 114 catches for 1,726 yards and seven touchdowns.

Two experts have him going 12th overall to the Browns, another 19th to the Bucs and another to the Broncos with the 20th selection.
