Volleyball Recap: 11 Straight Home Victories for Winchester

Winchester had won 11 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 5-0 to make it 12. Everything went their way against the Melrose Red Raiders as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red & Black also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

As for Melrose, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since October 25, 2024.

Several Red Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sabine Wenzel, who had 11 kills. Wenzel is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.

Winchester has already played their next contest (against Lexington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Melrose, they will head out on the road to square off against Wilmington at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
