Volleyball Recap: Pentucket Regional Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pentucket Regional can now relate to. They came up short against the East Longmeadow Spartans on Thursday, falling 3-0. Pentucket Regional has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Pentucket Regional ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-22.

Amelia Crowe paced Pentucket Regional's offense, picking up six kills. Crowe got some help from Michaela Gabardi and her 20 assists. Emma Burkinshaw controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Pentucket Regional now has a losing record of 9-10. As for East Longmeadow, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Pentucket Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Longmeadow, they will head out on the road to challenge Case at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
