Basketball Game Preview: Elwood Panthers vs. Tri-Central Trojans

The Elwood Panthers will square off against the Tri-Central Trojans at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Elwood has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 19.

Last Friday, Elwood had to suffer through a 53-22 loss at the hands of Frankton.

Meanwhile, Tri-Central lost to Frankton on the road by a 52-38 margin on Saturday. The Trojans have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Elwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Tri-Central, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Elwood came out on top in a nail-biter against Tri-Central when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 63-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elwood since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
