Baseball Recap: Ellinwood Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Ellinwood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They skirted past the Kinsley Coyotes 5-3. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Coyotes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Trace Tudor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Tudor wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Drake Hosman, who went 2-for-4 with one run. Bryce Williams also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Ellinwood's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Kinsley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ellinwood beat the Coyotes by a score of 12-6 later that day.
