Softball Recap: Lincoln Charter Eagles vs. Pine Lake Prep Pride        
        
		
            
 If Lincoln Charter was feeling good  off their  15-0 takedown of Langtree Charter last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lincoln Charter Eagles took  a  7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pine Lake Prep Pride on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  runs Lincoln Charter has scored all season.
  Sarah Terrell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-3 with a  home run.
 On Pine Lake Prep's side,  Emery Jensen made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits (and only one walk). Jensen has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than seven  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Jensen was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with  an  RBI.
 In other batting news, Pine Lake Prep let  Nikki Mullen and  Caitlin Green loose on the outfield. Mullen  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances, while  Green  went 3-for-3 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and a  run. Green is on a roll when it comes to  RBI, as she's  now  brought in three or more in the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kristen Armstrong, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-4.
 Lincoln Charter's defeat  ended  a  nine-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 15-6. As for Pine Lake Prep, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.
 As of now, neither Lincoln Charter nor Pine Lake Prep have any future games scheduled.
