Volleyball Recap: Holly Springs Golden Hawks vs. Lumberton Pirates
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Holly Springs walked away with it. They came out on top against the Lumberton Pirates by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Hawks.
Holly Springs found their leader in sophomore Ella Brueckmann, who had 15 digs and three aces. Brooklyn Cantil also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Holly Springs was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive contests.
Holly Springs' victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Lumberton, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.
