Baseball Recap: Purdue Broad Ripple Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Varsity Opponent, Purdue Broad Ripple was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 17-12 victory over the Providence Cristo Rey Wolves. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lynx considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Kyler Jones was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Patrick Terry Jr. was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Purdue Broad Ripple always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Purdue Broad Ripple's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Providence Cristo Rey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8-1.

Coming up, Purdue Broad Ripple will face off against Taylor at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Providence Cristo Rey, they will take on Indianapolis Shortridge at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
