Volleyball Recap: Friday's Win Is Folsom's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Folsom had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Sheldon Huskies. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win back in March.

The victory didn't come easy: Sheldon scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 25-21.

Jack DeGraff paced Folsom's offense, picking up 20 kills. DeGraff got some help from Neelagreev Chintaluri and his 34 assists. Finally, Diego Chavez kept Folsom's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Folsom is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-9 record this season. As for Sheldon, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-13.

Coming up, Folsom will square off against Laguna Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. Sheldon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
