Softball Recap: Northeastern Takes a Loss

Northeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Pasquotank County Panthers, falling 16-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 18-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Northeastern's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Pasquotank County, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Northeastern and Pasquotank County will both be playing Hertford County the next time they take the field. Pasquotank County will head out to face Hertford County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Northeastern will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
