Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Midlothian Heritage walked away with it. They snuck past the Texas Tigers with a 42-38 victory on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midlothian Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Damar Robinson, who rushed for 87 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries. Za'Ko Davis helped out on the ground, rushing for 124 yards and a rushing touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Midlothian Heritage was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 285 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 182 rushing yards in ten consecutive games.
Midlothian Heritage didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aaron Cowans and Maddox Aldape.

Midlothian Heritage's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Texas, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 10-2 record.
Looking ahead, Midlothian Heritage will square off against Port Neches-Groves on Friday. The Jaguars will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Texas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
