Softball Recap: Gregori Comes Up Short

Gregori saw some tournament action on Friday. They lost 13-2 to the St. Joseph Knights. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ariana Aguirre made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Gregori's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for St. Joseph, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

Gregori and St. Joseph should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Jaguars (ranked 387th) will meet Downey (ranked 1099th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Joseph will take on Mission College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (32 vs. 350).
