After a string of four wins, Academy of Careers & Exploration's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They had to suffer through a 87-46 loss at the hands of the Excelsior Charter Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagle this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 83-46 back in December of 2024.

Academy of Careers & Exploration's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5. As for Excelsior Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Academy of Careers & Exploration will venture away from home to challenge Lucerne Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Academy of Careers & Exploration is facing Lucerne Valley at the right time seeing as Lucerne Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Excelsior Charter, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Excelsior Charter Eagles duke it out with the Summit Leadership Academy EAGLES at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. One thing working in Excelsior Charter's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
