Basketball Recap: New London-Spicer Comes Up Short

New London-Spicer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Lakers, falling 69-44. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lakers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

New London-Spicer's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.

New London-Spicer will be playing at home against Litchfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Litchfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, they will challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
