Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wickliffe). Everything went their way against the Conneaut Spartans on Thursday as they made off with a 6-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Wickliffe needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Wickliffe's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Conneaut, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6-2.

Wickliffe wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, an 8-1 loss against Kirtland on the 16th. As for Conneaut, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 defeat against Girard on the 13th.
