Port St. Joe and Franklin County squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Port St. Joe had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Seahawks by a score of 6-4. The Tiger Sharks' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Elli Newman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Port St. Joe's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Franklin County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Port St. Joe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Franklin County, they will face off against Liberty County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Seahawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
