Basketball Game Preview: Woodland Wildcats vs. Cass Colonels

Woodland is 0-10 against Cass since January of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Woodland Wildcats will face off against the Cass Colonels at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Woodland came up short against Cartersville on Thursday, falling 71-46.

Meanwhile, Cass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Allatoona. While losing is never fun, the Colonels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 456th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 153rd).

Cass' defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Woodland came up short against Cass when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 55-51. Can Woodland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
