Basketball Game Preview: Polk County Wolverines vs. Hendersonville Bearcats

Polk County is 0-10 against Hendersonville since January of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Polk County Wolverines will square off against the Hendersonville Bearcats at 8:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Polk County is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 68-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Patton. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (57), the Wolverines still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Hendersonville put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past R-S Central 88-52. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 32 points or more this season.

Hendersonville pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points per game. As for Polk County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Polk County took a serious blow against Hendersonville when the teams last played back in February, falling 87-40. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Polk County was down 57-23.
