Valhalla gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Sweetwater Red Devils with a sharp 72-50 victory. The Norsemen haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Valhalla had a senior duo take command as Cole Davis went 13-for-18 to rack up 29 points and five rebounds and George Hinnawi dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Mikhail, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 12 points.

Valhalla has already played their next game, a 56-55 victory against Kearny on the 21st. As for Sweetwater, they will face off against Valley Center at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
