Basketball Recap: Morristown Yellow Jackets vs. Alexandria-Monroe Tigers
The Morristown Yellow Jackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight defeat. They lost to Alexandria-Monroe on the road by a decisive 62-45 margin.
Kellen Crim and Mathew Carlton certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Crim scored 13 points along with four steals, while Carlton scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carlton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was William Snyder, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Morristown dropped their record down to 2-15 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Alexandria-Monroe, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Morristown's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they will be playing at home against the Owls at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
