Softball Game Preview: Pendleton Heights Arabians vs. Liberty Christian Lions

The Pendleton Heights Arabians will take on the Liberty Christian Lions in a tournament on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Pendleton Heights is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Frankton.

Morgan Bricker was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits.

At the plate, Pendleton Heights saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ally Carlon, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Liberty Christian came up short against Anderson on Tuesday, falling 12-1. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost eight in a row.

Liberty Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Pendleton Heights, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
