Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McKinley). Everything went their way against the Mathews Mustangs on Saturday as they made off with a 4-1 win. The match was close at halftime, but McKinley turned on the heat in the second half with four goals.

McKinley moved to 2-15 with that victory, which also ended their eight-match losing streak. As for Mathews, their record is now 0-13-2.

McKinley and Mathews could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Red Dragons (ranked 546th) will meet Howland (ranked 18th) at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Mathews will face off against Smithville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (581 vs. 256).
