Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westover). They blew past the Monroe Golden Tornadoes 7-1 on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Patriots needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

With the victory, Westover broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4-1. As for Monroe, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Westover will take on Dougherty at 5:30 p.m. on March 20th. Westover is facing Dougherty at the right time seeing as Dougherty is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Monroe, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Deerfield-Windsor on the 17th.
