River View's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 42-16 margin over the Hurley Rebels. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 97th in West Virginia, while the Rebels are ranked 331st in Virginia) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

A big part of River View's win came down to the chemistry between Jeremih Delong and his top target Kaiden Baker. Delong threw for 186 yards and two touchdowns while Baker gained 78 total yards.

River View now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Hurley, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River View will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Sherman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hurley, they will welcome Tri-Cities Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
