Softball Recap: Hoopeston Comes Up Short

Hoopeston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to the LeRoy Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Cornjerkers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hoopeston's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for LeRoy, their victory was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-0.

Coming up, Hoopeston will square off against Chrisman at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for LeRoy, they will face off against Prairie Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
