Volleyball Recap: Prairie Central Comes Up Short

Prairie Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Newark Norsemen. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Prairie Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Newark, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season.

While Prairie Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
