Aitkin had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Mora Mustangs. This was a revenge game for the Gobblers: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in April, they had to take a 8-3 defeat.

Aitkin's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Even more impressive is the teams they beat to make that streak: Mora, Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia], and Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia]. As for the Mustangs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aitkin will take on Proctor at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mora, they will face off against Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
