Baseball Game Preview: Lejeune Devilpups vs. Northside - Pinetown Panthers

For the second straight game, Lejeune will face off against Northside - Pinetown. The Devilpups will welcome the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lejeune has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight defeats, while Northside - Pinetown will come in with seven straight wins.

Lejeune came up short against Northside - Pinetown on Tuesday, falling 17-3.

For Northside - Pinetown's part, they got a massive performance out of Holden Boykin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. The Panthers are undefeated when Boykin posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Taylor, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

Northside - Pinetown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .514 or higher in seven consecutive contests.

Lejeune's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Northside - Pinetown, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
