Malad suffers 14th straight loss at home

Recap: Malad Dragons vs. Bear Lake Bears
The Malad Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bear Lake. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Malad in their matchups with Bear Lake: they've now lost seven in a row.
Bryson Crane was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds and six steals for Bear Lake. That makes it three consecutive games in which Crane has scored at least a third of Bear Lake's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Bush, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Malad bumped their record down to 3-11 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home. As for Bear Lake, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Malad will take on Aberdeen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bear Lake, they will head out on the road to square off against West Side at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Side presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bear Lake in Idaho (West Side is ranked 35th, while Bear Lake is ranked 85th).
