Hazleton Area is a perfect 10-0 against Wilkes-Barre since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cougars will challenge the Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. Hazleton Area is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Hazleton Area proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 12) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Scranton, sneaking past 6-5.

Meanwhile, Wilkes-Barre extended their postseason success on Friday against Williamsport. They put the hurt on the Millionaires with a sharp 9-3 victory.

The team relied heavily on Jake Howe, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Koleton Davies, who earned two runs and one stolen base.

Hazleton Area pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Wilkes-Barre, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Everything went Hazleton Area's way against Wilkes-Barre when the teams last played on May 1st, as Hazleton Area made off with a 10-4 win. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Wolfpack have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
