Volleyball Recap: Watertown Falls Short Against Ranked Dakota Valley

Watertown faced Dakota Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Arrows fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1.

Watertown lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Andi Olson, who had 14 digs. She has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last seven times she's played. Siri Bach also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Watertown has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Dakota Valley, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.

Coincidentally, Watertown and Dakota Valley will both be playing Western Christian the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Wolfpack at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, while the Arrows will play them later in the day, at 10:30 a.m.
