Recap: Indianapolis Lutheran Saints vs. Decatur Central Hawks
The Indianapolis Lutheran Saints were the 59-55 winner over the Decatur Central Hawks when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Indianapolis Lutheran fell to Decatur Central 53-48. Indianapolis Lutheran has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Decatur Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Melakih Cunningham, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Cunningham is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kc Berry, who scored 14 points.
Indianapolis Lutheran now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Decatur Central, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Indianapolis Lutheran will be home for the holidays to greet Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Decatur Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Mooresville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mooresville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday.
