Basketball Recap: Fayetteville-Perry Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Fayetteville-Perry, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down the Eastern Warriors 63-44 on Thursday. The Rockets pushed the score to 53-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fayetteville-Perry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cara Rummel, who went 10 for 15 en route to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Rummel a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Ryley Kleemeyer, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Fayetteville-Perry smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Fayetteville-Perry pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Eastern, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 12-5 record.
