Recap: Northgate Vikings vs. Dutchtown Bulldogs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Northgate Vikings can now relate to. They took a 42-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dutchtown on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Dutchtown was led to victory by Jakarri Ponder and Michael Johnson. Ponder rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns, while Johnson rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Johnson was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 66 yards.
Northgate's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Dutchtown, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.
Northgate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dutchtown will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Jenkins at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th.
