Baseball Recap: Maypearl Wins Going Away Against Godley

Maypearl made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Godley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Maypearl Panthers put the hurt on the Godley Wildcats with a sharp 9-3 win on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Panthers have posted since April 16, 2024.

The win got Maypearl back to even at 2-2. As for Godley, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

Coming up, Maypearl will square off against Palmer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maypearl's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Palmer's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Godley, they will take on North Dallas in a tournament on Thursday.
