Soccer Recap: San Tan Foothills Takes a Loss

San Tan Foothills fell victim to Seton Catholic and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Seton Catholic Sentinels, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Sabercats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Sentinels are ranked 21st).

San Tan Foothills has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Seton Catholic, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

San Tan Foothills will head out to challenge Benjamin Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Benjamin Franklin will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something San Tan Foothills surely won't give up without a fight. As for Seton Catholic, they will host ALA - West Foothills at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Seton Catholic knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past four games -- so hopefully ALA - West Foothills likes a good challenge.
